To become a Certainteed certified Select Shingle Roofer a contractor must fulfill three requirements and the contractor must carry up-to-date liability and workers' compensation insurance coverage for roofing and must keep that proof up-to-date.

The Select Shingle Roofer is actually the ultimate credential of Certainteed certification. A contractor must first have earned the credentials of being a Quality Master, then a Master Shingle Applicator before being able to attain the Select Shingle Roofer certification.
